A drug trafficking gang was dismantled by the Dhubri police following an intensive operation that led to the arrest of four gang members and the seizure of brown sugar. The operation targeted the notorious drug mafia operating in the Gauripur area of Dhubri.
Based on a tip-off, the police apprehended the suspected drug traffickers at Targhat, Baldmara, with Ruhul Amin Mandal, Zamanur Rahman, Bajirul Rahman, and Zahirul Haque arrested as key members of the syndicate.
The suspects have a long history of illegal drug activities in the Dhubri district. Under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Bikas Pratim Mahanta, the Gauripur police kept a close watch on the operations of this criminal network.
The seizure of brown sugar containers marked a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
