Subrahmanya police have arrested Veeranna Gowda (26) from Dharwad in connection with a burglary at the Abhaya Anjaneya Temple, which is managed by the Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple. The theft took place on the night of November 3, during which pooja materials and a CCTV camera were stolen.
The CEO of the Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple lodged a police complaint about the theft after discovering the missing items the following morning. The stolen items included essential pooja materials and a CCTV camera from the temple premises.
After receiving the complaint, Subrahmanya police reviewed nearby CCTV footage. In the footage, they observed Veeranna Gowda wandering near the temple premises around the time of the theft. Based on this evidence, police identified him as a suspect and took him into custody.
The arrest was made swiftly, and the police continue to investigate the motive behind the burglary.
Veeranna Gowda is now facing charges related to the theft, and police are working on recovering any additional stolen items.
