Devin M. Miller Arrested in Topeka’s First Homicide of 2025

Topeka (KSNT) – The Topeka Police Department has arrested 29-year-old Devin M. Miller in connection with the first homicide case of 2025.

At 7:41 a.m. on January 1st, police responded to a shooting at the 2700 block of SW Burnett Rd. Upon arrival, officers found three individuals with life-threatening injuries. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller has been charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery. He was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections following his arrest.

This marks the first homicide investigation of the year in Topeka.
