Devin Dantzler Arrested for Double Murder in Cross, S.C.

CROSS, S.C. (WCSC) – Devin Reakwon Dantzler, 28, of Cross, was arrested on Tuesday morning in Columbia in connection with a shooting that left two people dead, including a 16-year-old, and another hospitalized.

Dantzler faces two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The charges stem from a November 26 shooting at a home on Spiers Landing Road in Cross. Deputies found two victims, Kee Juan D. Middleton, 25, and Shariff A. King, 16, both of Cross, who were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third person was also injured and taken to the hospital, but their condition remains unknown.

Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis commended the swift work of detectives and their collaboration with other agencies, which helped identify Dantzler as a suspect early on. Dantzler is currently being extradited back to Berkeley County.
