Aberdeen Police Department Reports Two Arrests

The Aberdeen Police Department announced two recent arrests involving theft and fraud.

On May 12, officers responded to a report of larceny at Walmart and apprehended Destiny Knight, 23, from Raeford, as she attempted to leave the scene. Officers confirmed that a theft had occurred and recovered stolen property. Upon further investigation, they discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her vehicle. Knight faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny, and possession of stolen goods.

In a separate incident, Cullen Parker, 19, of Pinehurst, was arrested on May 14 after being identified in connection with fraudulent transactions at Walmart. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and gathered statements, leading to warrants for three counts of felony obtaining property by false pretenses. Parker turned himself in to authorities and was taken into custody.

The Aberdeen Police Department continues to investigate these incidents.
