North Charleston, S.C. (WCSC) – Deshaun Tyron Ward, 34, was arrested Monday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month in North Charleston. The arrest took place at a residence on Piedmont Avenue, with the help of U.S. Marshals.
Ward has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in relation to the December 4 shooting of 40-year-old Trivell Richardson. Richardson was found inside a home on Iron Street, unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Ward has been booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center, and authorities continue their investigation into the fatal shooting.
