Deonte Carnell Taylor Faces Capital Murder Charges in Triple Homicide

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office has charged 18-year-old Deonte Carnell Taylor of Tunica, Mississippi, in connection with a triple homicide that took place on Friday, November 10, 2023, in Robinsonville.

The victims were identified as Steven Dewayne Burts, 23, from Dundee; Deshun Montario Isabell, 24, from Tunica; and Tednequa Tenice Moore, 25, from Robinsonville, along with her unborn child.

Taylor has been charged with three counts of Capital Murder, four counts of Shooting into a Motor Vehicle, and four counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.

Under Mississippi law, Capital Murder carries a punishment of life imprisonment or the death penalty. Taylor is currently being held without bond.

The investigation into the murders is still ongoing, with authorities confirming that further arrests are anticipated.
