Demittus Alfonzo Howard Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges

Sheffield, Ala. – On Wednesday, 32-year-old Demittus Alfonzo Howard was arrested by the Sheffield Police Department following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of illegal narcotics. Howard now faces numerous charges, including drug trafficking and possession of controlled substances.

Howard was initially stopped on Cox Boulevard after providing an expired insurance card. Upon stepping out of his vehicle, he inadvertently dropped a bag containing illegal drugs. After the discovery, officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle.

The search revealed a large quantity of narcotics, including:

87.51 grams of crack cocaine
3.62 ounces of methamphetamine
14.55 ounces of marijuana
8 THC vapes
34 hydrocodone pills
91 units of MDMA
8.5 units of Xanax
$4,591 in cash
Howard was arrested and taken to the Sheffield City Jail, then transferred to the Colbert County Jail. His bond has been set at $350,000. He faces serious charges related to trafficking and possession of several illicit substances.
