SHREVEPORT, La. – A 19-year-old student has been arrested for bringing a BB gun onto school property and allegedly pointing it at another student during a fight at Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that on March 3, just after 2 p.m., the school resource officer (SRO) was alerted to an altercation involving Demartezz Demaria Robinson and another student. During the confrontation, Robinson allegedly pulled out a BB gun designed to resemble a handgun and aimed it at the other student.
The SRO intervened quickly, taking Robinson into custody and confiscating the weapon. He was later transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on charges of:
Carrying a firearm/weapon on school property
Aggravated assault with a firearm
Authorities have not released further details about the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and school officials are reviewing safety protocols to prevent similar situations.
