Patrick Rose, a 38-year-old resident of Deltona, was arrested in connection with a nationwide fraud scheme and charged with 13 criminal offenses, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office (VSO) announced on Wednesday. Rose was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail after an investigation linked him to a series of fraudulent activities across the country.
The investigation began when Synchrony Bank alerted authorities to suspicious activity involving Lowe’s credit accounts. Detectives traced the fraudulent purchases to Rose, claiming he used the Lowe’s mobile app to make purchases using stolen customer accounts.
During the investigation, authorities also discovered that Rose was involved in drug dealing. He was allegedly operating out of two locations: his Deltona residence and his DeLand music recording studio, ‘Fearles Muzik.’ A search warrant was executed at both sites, leading to the seizure of numerous illegal items.
At Rose’s locations, detectives reportedly found stolen credit cards, driver’s licenses, a credit card-making machine, a printer used to forge documents, bank records, and the personal information of several victims across the U.S.
In addition to fraud charges, Rose was charged with several drug-related offenses, including possession of controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and cannabis with intent to sell. He was also charged with five counts of possession of weapons or ammunition by a convicted felon.
Rose faces multiple charges, including possession of a credit card-making machine, using others’ IDs without consent, and organized fraud exceeding $50,000.
