Delhi Police successfully dismantled an inter-state auto-lifting gang, arresting four individuals and apprehending a juvenile in connection with the theft of high-end motorcycles. The police also recovered four stolen motorcycles from the gang’s possession.
The investigation was triggered after a motorcycle theft complaint was filed in the Hauz Qazi area of Delhi. According to Hukma Ram, Additional DCP (Central), the police team utilized a combination of CCTV analysis, manual intelligence, and technical surveillance to track the criminals, eventually leading them to Loni, Ghaziabad.
Following the intelligence-led operation, police first arrested Mohammad Umar (21), who was found to be responsible for storing the stolen motorcycles. His interrogation led to the arrest of four more suspects—Mujjamin (21), Bilal (21), Zarif (22), and a 16-year-old juvenile.
The gang, operating under the leadership of Sahdab, was found to be involved in stealing high-end motorcycles from various parts of Delhi. The stolen vehicles were then hidden in secret locations in Loni, Ghaziabad, where they were later sold through illegal channels.
Police are continuing their investigation into the gang’s operations and further suspects may be identified. The stolen motorcycles have been recovered, and legal action is underway.
