Delaware State Police have made an arrest in the ongoing investigation into the May 2023 homicide in Bridgeville, Delaware.
On January 27, 2025, a Sussex County grand jury indicted 20-year-old Daveon Showell on murder charges. Showell, a fugitive, was apprehended in Accomack, Virginia, on February 3 and is now awaiting extradition to Delaware.
The victim, 23-year-old Orbby Holder, was found on May 14, 2023, in the front yard of a residence in the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
