Darell Andrew Fisher Arrested for Fatal DUI Crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Darell Andrew Fisher, 38, of Estero, was arrested after a deadly crash on I-75 northbound just south of Corkscrew Road late Sunday night.

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that troopers responded at approximately 11:33 p.m. to a rear-end collision involving two vehicles near mile marker 121. Tragically, one passenger in the vehicle that was struck died at the scene, while two others sustained serious injuries.

Officials noted severe damage to the vehicles, with Gulf Coast News observing that the roof of one car was ripped off due to the impact.

Fisher faces charges of DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI serious bodily injury. He was booked into Lee County Jail following the incident.

This is not Fisher’s first DUI offense; he was previously convicted of DUI in 2021 and sentenced to six months probation.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
