Danny Ray Boree, Unforgiven Gang Member, Sentenced for Drug Crimes

A 39-year-old man from Keystone Heights, Danny Ray Boree, was sentenced to nearly 11 years in federal prison for drug possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Boree, a member of the violent white supremacy gang “Unforgiven,” was convicted for his involvement in drug trafficking and firearm possession following a traffic stop on June 8, 2023.

The incident unfolded when a deputy from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle in Keystone Heights for a stop sign violation. During the stop, Boree was sitting in the passenger seat and had a meat cleaver or hatchet directly in front of him, along with a knife at his feet. As the deputy instructed Boree to exit the vehicle, he noticed part of a clear baggie sticking out of Boree’s waistband.

Upon conducting a pat-down search, the deputy discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine inside the bag. A further search of the vehicle revealed additional methamphetamine and a Raven Arms pistol, both of which Boree was unlawfully possessing as a convicted felon. At the time of the arrest, Boree had a lengthy criminal record, including 10 prior felony convictions, one of which involved battery on a law enforcement officer.

Boree was a known member of the Unforgiven, a violent white supremacy gang. His arrest and subsequent sentencing have been viewed as a significant win for law enforcement in Northeast Florida. The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, along with federal authorities, worked tirelessly to ensure that this dangerous criminal would be removed from the streets for a significant amount of time.

Kirk Howard, Special Agent in Charge of the ATF Tampa Field Division, emphasized the importance of disrupting the gang’s operations, stating, “Residents of Northeast Florida are much safer with this violent criminal in federal prison. Disrupting the Unforgiven’s nefarious activities takes unwavering commitment, and we’re proud to have helped the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and federal prosecutors with this huge win.”

Boree’s sentence reflects the severity of his crimes and his dangerous affiliation with a criminal gang. He will serve nearly 11 years in prison for the charges, which will hopefully deter similar illegal activities in the future.
