Daniel Barker Arrested After Escaping from Suffolk Prison

Daniel Barker, a murderer serving a life sentence, has been arrested after absconding from a Suffolk prison. Barker, 34, was reported missing from HMP Hollesley Bay on Thursday morning after being absent during the prison roll call.

Barker was convicted of murder in 2005 and sentenced to life imprisonment. After his disappearance, he handed himself into Ipswich police later that evening. He was subsequently taken to Martlesham police station, where he remains in custody.

Police officials expressed their appreciation for the public’s assistance during the search for Barker.
