Dallas Montgomery Majewski, 62, the president of Evansville-based Disciples of Christ Ministries, was arrested on Monday after prosecutors accused him of orchestrating a theft scheme that netted over $500,000, luxury cars, jewelry, and expensive suits. Majewski is facing 30 counts of theft, each a Level 6 felony.
The investigation into Majewski’s financial dealings began in June 2024, when members of the Disciples of Christ Ministries board grew suspicious of his sudden extravagant lifestyle. According to Detective Nathan VanCleave, the board became concerned after Majewski was seen wearing high-end suits, Rolex watches, and driving a Maserati and Corvette.
Following a lengthy investigation, which involved serving 18 subpoenas and warrants on various financial accounts tied to the nonprofit, police concluded that Majewski had stolen at least $576,963 from the organization between January and July of 2024. He allegedly used unauthorized payments to fund his personal expenses.
Majewski was arrested without prior notice on Monday and was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail. The investigation continues as authorities examine the full extent of the theft.
