Dalentez Lane Arrested in $25,000 West Point Drug Bust

Clay County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with several law enforcement agencies, executed a significant drug bust in West Point, resulting in the arrest of Dalentez Lane, 30, on Sunday. Lane faces charges of trafficking marijuana.

According to reports from WTVA, the seized marijuana had an estimated street value between $15,000 and $25,000. Sheriff Eddie Scott of Clay County stated that authorities confiscated approximately 3.5 pounds of marijuana. In addition to the drugs, law enforcement officials discovered $6,000 in cash and multiple firearms at the scene.

The operation was a joint effort between the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, West Point Police Department, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation. Following the arrest, Lane was released on bond pending further legal action.
