Crystal Stiefel Arrested for Burglary and Theft in Palm Coast

PALM COAST, Florida — A 25-year-old woman, Crystal Stiefel, was arrested on December 29, 2024, after allegedly breaking into a truck and stealing a chainsaw following a dispute over a dating relationship, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident began when deputies responded to reports of repeated phone calls and texts from Stiefel to a couple that had recently started dating. Stiefel was said to have called the woman’s workplace and driven through the parking lot. Later, the male victim reported his truck, parked at his girlfriend’s workplace, had been broken into. Items were moved onto the pavement, and a chainsaw was stolen.

After deputies contacted Stiefel, she admitted to entering the unlocked truck and taking the chainsaw. Stiefel was arrested and charged with burglary of a vehicle and petit theft. She was transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and later released on a $1,500 bond.

Sheriff Rick Staly commented on the situation, saying, “Stealing something out of someone’s car because you don’t like who they are dating is petty and is never the right answer.” He further reminded the public, “Always lock your car doors.”
