Craven County Man Arrested for Stealing $1,500 Tracking Device

CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. — A man has been arrested in Craven County after stealing an electronic device from a local business. The Craven County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Garmin Tread XL tracking device, valued at $1,500, was stolen from Monette’s Grocery Store on Old Cherry Point Road on October 19th.

Authorities identified Ryan Lisewski through surveillance footage from the store. Deputies later located Lisewski driving a vehicle on East Thurman Road and initiated a stop. During the search of his vehicle, they discovered the stolen Garmin device, as well as illegal controlled substances, drug paraphernalia, and tools used to disable store security tags.

Lisewski, 43, has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Felony larceny
  • Possession with intent to sell or deliver Schedule IV controlled substances
  • Felony maintaining a vehicle for the sale or delivery of controlled substances
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

He is currently being held in the Craven County Jail under a $50,000 bond.
