In a tragic incident in Faridabad, a property dealer named Narendra was shot dead allegedly by his cousin, Vikas, over a land dispute. The incident occurred on Thursday night, while Narendra was working in his office at Old Faridabad Chowk.
According to the victim’s brother, Pradeep, he had dropped Narendra off at his office around 9 pm. Later, an employee named Ankit informed Pradeep that Narendra had been shot. Upon reaching the office, Pradeep reportedly saw his cousin, Vikas, along with his accomplices, Ashish Chaprana and Kuldeep Singh, attempting to flee after shooting Narendra twice in the chest. Pradeep rushed his brother to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Based on Pradeep’s complaint, the Faridabad Old Police have filed an FIR against Vikas, Ashish, and Kuldeep under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. The police suspect that the motive behind the murder was related to a land dispute between the accused and the victim.
Police are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the area and have deployed five teams to arrest the accused. Inspector Shri Bhagwan, the SHO of Faridabad Old Police Station, confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
