Couple Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Hyderabad; 254 Grams of Amphetamine Seized

In a major drug trafficking bust, Task Force sleuths and Begumpet Police arrested Atif Aslam Khan (34) and his wife Subhani Begum (22), both from Assam, along with 11 drug consumers in Hyderabad on Saturday. The couple was found in possession of 254 grams of Amphetamine, valued at approximately Rs 20 lakh.

The accused had relocated to Hyderabad after obtaining the drugs from a supplier named Pronay Das. They set up their operation in a rented house in Prakash Nagar, Begumpet, where they distributed the drugs. During the operation, the police seized the contraband, a Honda Activa bike, and three mobile phones from the suspects.

The couple now faces charges related to drug possession and trafficking. Authorities continue their investigation, aiming to uncover more details about their drug distribution network.
