Cottondale Couple Arrested for Burglary and Drug Charges in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) — A Cottondale couple, Monique D Noel, 21, and Aubray Damille Lee West, 31, were arrested on burglary and drug charges after a suspicious incident in Washington County.

On December 19, deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) responded to a burglary report after the victim received photos of individuals on and inside his property. Upon arrival, deputies spotted a van with North Carolina plates parked under a pole barn, which the homeowner confirmed did not belong to him.

When deputies approached the house, they heard movement and saw the suspects leaving the premises. The couple was detained for questioning.

A K-9 unit was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered several firearms and cocaine.

Noel was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and burglary, while West faced charges of burglary and possession of a weapon by a felon.

Both suspects were transported to the Washington County Jail for further processing.
