Cory M. Billstrom Arrested in Wilton, WI for Minnesota Bank Robbery

WILTON, Wis. (WFRV) — A Janesville, Wisconsin man was arrested in western Wisconsin after being connected to a bank robbery in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Cory M. Billstrom, 51, was taken into custody on January 7 in the Village of Wilton after a coordinated investigation that crossed state lines. Authorities were notified by the Bloomington Police Department that Billstrom may be in the Wilton area.

After a brief investigation, Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Wilton Police Department officers arrested Billstrom outside a residence. In addition to the bank robbery charges, Billstrom also had an outstanding warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Billstrom is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail and will be extradited to Minnesota to face charges related to the robbery. No further details on the case have been provided at this time.
