CHICAGO – Cortez Duffy, 37, was arrested on Friday at 12:08 p.m. in the 300 block of S. Central, Chicago police reported. He is a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man that occurred on September 18, 2024, in the 4100 block of W. Grenshaw Street.
Duffy has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the shooting death. Authorities say he shot and killed the victim on the street that night.
Duffy is scheduled to appear in court on January 19 for a detention hearing to address the charges against him.
