Corey Rucker Arrested for Domestic Violence Assault in Aberdeen

A 44-year-old man from Aberdeen, North Carolina, was arrested Tuesday after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend in a violent domestic attack. Corey Rucker was taken into custody following an investigation by the Aberdeen Police Department into an assault that reportedly occurred on Sunday in the Berkley community.

The victim, who was in a dating relationship with Rucker, told authorities that she was assaulted and strangled multiple times at her home. According to the Aberdeen Police Department, officers responded to the victim’s account, which was corroborated by visible injuries and statements from both the victim and witnesses.

Moore County EMS treated the victim for her injuries at the scene. Rucker was arrested under no bond and faces felony charges of assault by strangulation and domestic violence. Authorities emphasized the severity of the crime, given the nature of the assault and the victim’s physical injuries.
