Columbia Woman Arrested for Attempted Murder in Hickory Hotel Shooting

Hickory, N.C. – A woman from Columbia, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged with attempted murder following a shooting in the parking lot of a North Carolina hotel early Thursday. The Hickory Police Department responded to the Courtyard by Marriott on 13th Avenue Drive Southeast shortly after 4 a.m., where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, a man from St. Louis, Missouri, was flown to a hospital in Winston-Salem for treatment. As of Thursday evening, he was reported to be in stable condition.

Police arrested 31-year-old Cadisha Laquana Kadia Hill, who is reportedly a known acquaintance of the victim. Hill has been charged with first-degree attempted murder in connection with the incident.

Hickory, located about 58 miles northwest of Charlotte, is a small city in North Carolina. Columbia, Hill’s hometown, is about 93 miles to the south of Charlotte.
