Jefferson City, Mo. — Two men from Columbia are being held in the Cole County Jail, accused of attacking a man during a drug deal at a Jefferson City grocery store parking lot.

Prosecutors have charged Joe Kisabo, 21, with robbery and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution. Stefan Williams, 18, is charged with robbery and accessory to tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

According to court documents, the victim went to the parking lot of Sam’s Club on Saturday at 11:44 a.m. with the intention of buying marijuana. When the victim met the two men, one was in a truck and the other was standing outside.

The victim reported that one of the men hit him in the head with a handgun and then held the gun to his head. The assailant stole the victim’s $30, which was meant for the drug purchase, before getting into the truck. The two men then drove off, and the victim followed them down Missouri Boulevard.

As the truck neared Wicker Lane, someone inside the vehicle threw the gun out the window. Police later pulled over the truck at Kansas Street, arresting Kisabo and Williams.

Both men are being held without bond at the Cole County Jail.
