Colton Ford Arrested in Owensboro on Drug Trafficking Charges

OWENSBORO, Ky. — A 26-year-old Owensboro man, Colton Ford, has been arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges after law enforcement executed a warrant at his residence on East Byers Avenue.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), detectives arrived at the home on Wednesday and immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside. Upon entering, authorities discovered Ford with a female and two young children.

During the investigation, officers found marijuana in plain sight, easily accessible to the children. Authorities seized over 50 pounds of packaged marijuana, 400 THC vape cartridges, a label maker, and hide-away safes, among other items.

Ford is currently being held at the Daviess County Detention Center, facing the following charges:

Trafficking in Marijuana over 5 pounds, 1st Offense
Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2 Counts)
Assault 1st Degree (Domestic Violence)
Strangulation 1st Degree (Domestic Violence)
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to process the evidence seized from the property.
