The Vadavalli police in Coimbatore have arrested two individuals, Aravind Kumar (41) and B. Anbazhagan (49), for allegedly cheating a building contractor of ₹1.87 crore. The duo had promised to arrange a ₹100 crore loan for the contractor but deceived him into paying the large sum under false pretenses.

The arrested individuals, Aravind Kumar, a resident of Malapatti Road in Dindigul, and B. Anbazhagan, a native of Anaiyur in Madurai, were found to have made fraudulent claims and misled the contractor into believing they had the ability to arrange a substantial loan. However, after receiving the money, they disappeared, leaving the contractor in financial distress.

The police were alerted when the contractor realized that the promised loan was never forthcoming, leading to a formal complaint. An investigation was launched, and the authorities quickly traced the suspects. The arrest of Aravind Kumar and B. Anbazhagan has brought some relief to the victim, though further investigation is underway to uncover any additional details of their fraudulent activities.
