Coimbatore Cybercrime Police Arrest Madhya Pradesh Courier Scam Gang

In a significant crackdown on courier scams in Coimbatore, the city’s cybercrime police, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh police, dismantled a gang responsible for duping hundreds of victims across the country out of several crores of rupees.

A special task force led by Cybercrime Inspector P.A. Arun successfully apprehended three suspects from Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The arrested individuals—Ravikumar Sharma, 23, Mukul Chandel, 24, and Anil Jatav, 24—were taken into custody on July 4, with the assistance of local police.

The trio was transported to Coimbatore on July 6, where they were formally remanded in judicial custody. Authorities believe the gang operated a sophisticated network of courier scams, preying on unsuspecting individuals from various regions in India. The investigation continues as police work to identify further victims and other members of the gang.
