Mississippi MDOT Employee Arrested for Stealing $22,000 in Wire

A Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) employee has been arrested for allegedly embezzling $22,000 worth of wire. Cody J. Ware, a Gulfport resident, was taken into custody on Wednesday in Harrison County after police were alerted to the theft at the MDOT office on Highway 49 in Saucier.

Following the report, law enforcement launched an investigation that led to a warrant being issued for Ware’s arrest. He was apprehended at his home and charged with embezzlement.

Ware is currently being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $15,000 bond set by Judge Brandon Ladner.
