Clinton Eugene Tucker Arrested for Bringing Contraband Into Jail

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ark. (KATV) — Clinton Eugene Tucker, 43, was arrested on January 24 in connection with bringing contraband into the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center in Jefferson County. The arrest follows an investigation that began when officials were notified of two individuals who allegedly smuggled prohibited items into the detention center on January 18.

After receiving information about the suspects, investigators with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) tracked down Tucker, who was apprehended and transported to the Criminal Investigation Division. He was then booked into the Dub Brassell Adult Detention Center on charges of Furnishing Prohibited Articles and Resisting Arrest.

While Tucker is in custody, the JCSO continues to search for the second individual involved. The sheriff’s office issued a statement highlighting the severity of the crime, stressing that such actions pose a significant danger to both detention facilities and the detainees housed there.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and are working diligently to locate the remaining suspect.
