Claude Brelsford Arrested in Kentucky on Drug Charges

HAZEL, Ky. (KFVS) — A man with an active arrest warrant out of Tennessee was apprehended in Kentucky on drug-related charges. On Friday, January 17, at approximately 6:15 a.m., deputies from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office made contact with 24-year-old Claude D. Brelsford of Puryear, Tennessee, at the Hazel Post Office.

Upon arrest, Brelsford was reportedly found in possession of illicit drugs, including methamphetamine. He was previously convicted of the same charge in 2018.

Brelsford was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility, where he faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a fugitive from Tennessee.

Authorities continue to pursue the investigation into his activities as they work to uphold the law and prevent drug-related offenses in the region.
