Christopher Singletary Arrested for Meth Trafficking in Okeechobee

OKEECHEOBEE, Fla. (CBS12) — Christopher Lee Singletary, 47, was arrested Thursday during a buy-bust operation at a local Tractor Supply store by the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).

Singletary is accused of selling methamphetamine and other illegal narcotics in the area. According to deputies, Singletary arranged a meeting with an undercover detective to buy narcotics.

During the operation, officers found Singletary in his vehicle with a woman in the passenger seat. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 108 grams of methamphetamine, a .22 caliber revolver, and various drug paraphernalia. Authorities also found Singletary to be a convicted felon.

Singletary was arrested and booked on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The woman was released without arrest.

This marks Singletary’s first arrest in Okeechobee, though he has a prior history with 11 felony charges in other jurisdictions, including drug-related offenses such as possession of methamphetamine and heroin.
