Christopher Sanchez and Alex Maldonado Arrested for Armed Robbery in San Jose

Two suspects were arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred last summer at a business in Alum Rock, San Jose. Christopher Sanchez, 30, and Alex Maldonado, 28, were identified as key suspects in the case.

The robbery took place on July 12, 2024, around 2:22 a.m. when five armed suspects entered a business on Alum Rock Avenue. The suspects threatened the victims with firearms, stealing approximately $6,000 worth of property, including cash, before fleeing the scene.

San Jose police initiated a thorough investigation, identifying Sanchez and Maldonado as part of the group involved. Arrest warrants were issued for both, and subsequent search warrants were obtained for their residences.

On November 13, 2024, Sanchez was arrested in San Jose and booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of armed robbery. A week later, Maldonado was arrested in Stockton and also booked into the same jail. During a search of Maldonado’s residence, authorities discovered several firearms, including a stolen lever-action rifle, an unregistered AK-47 rifle, and nine unregistered handguns, along with extended magazines.

Both suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
