Christopher Noel Arrested After Lewiston Police Chase

LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — A Bowdoin man, Christopher Noel, is facing several charges after leading police on a high-speed chase in Lewiston before fighting officers who attempted to arrest him.

Police report that the pursuit began Tuesday night when they attempted to stop Noel. He fled the scene, reaching dangerous speeds, prompting officers to call off the chase for safety reasons. However, later that night, Noel was located sitting in his vehicle.

When officers tried to arrest him, Noel fought back, leading to a physical struggle. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Androscoggin County Jail.

Noel is now facing multiple charges, including eluding police. He is currently being held without bail.
