Christopher Jowers Arrested in Colorado for Felony Theft

Cairo, GA – The Grady County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) has arrested Christopher Jowers, 36, in connection to felony theft by conversion after an investigation spanning several months.

Jowers was apprehended on January 12 in Montrose County, Colorado, after being identified as the suspect in a series of complaints from victims who had paid for construction services that were never completed.

The Grady County Sheriff’s Office began looking into Jowers in 2024 when victims reported that they had hired him for construction jobs, only to have him fail to fulfill his commitments.

After locating Jowers’ vehicle in Colorado, the GCSO contacted local authorities in Montrose, who arrested him. GCSO deputies then traveled to Colorado on January 30 to transport Jowers back to Grady County.

Upon arrival, Jowers was booked on one count of felony theft by conversion. He was later released on a $100,000 bond.

Currently, GCSO is investigating three additional cases linked to Jowers, with an estimated total loss exceeding $100,000. Investigators are actively following up on these cases to determine the full extent of his alleged fraud.

For anyone who may have fallen victim to similar incidents involving Jowers, GCSO urges you to report it to law enforcement.
