Christopher Brock and Michael Sestanovich Jailed for Fraud

Two men have been sentenced to jail for their involvement in a series of theft and fraud incidents in Bicester. Christopher Brock, 49, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a motor vehicle and three counts of fraud during a hearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 14. He was sentenced to four months in prison.

Michael Sestanovich, 42, also of no fixed address, had previously pleaded guilty on October 9 to three counts of fraud and received a sentence of 12 weeks in prison.

The offenses occurred between 7 am and 8 am on September 22, when Brock broke into a vehicle in Bicester and stole a purse along with children’s coats. He subsequently used a stolen bank card fraudulently at various locations in the town. Brock was arrested on October 13 and charged the same day.

Sestanovich was arrested a day earlier and faced charges for using cards fraudulently. He was charged on October 8.

Investigating officer PC James Peachey from the Bicester and Kidlington problem-solving team commented on the investigation: “This was a great team effort to ensure that evidence was gained quickly, leading to Brock’s prompt arrest and charge. Brock had no choice but to plead guilty due to the compelling evidence against him. Sestanovich also admitted to the offenses he was accused of.”

Peachey added that these sentences demonstrate that such offenses will not be tolerated, noting the public’s vital role in the investigation, including providing CCTV footage that helped secure justice for the community.
