MUSKOGEE, OK (KTUL) — Christian Deion Larance Smith, 27, and Kaleel Montrel Smith, 26, both from Muskogee, Oklahoma, entered guilty pleas to federal charges involving drug distribution. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the plea deal, which included one count each of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine.
The charges stemmed from an investigation carried out by several law enforcement agencies, including the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the Muskogee Police Department, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Department, and the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police Department. According to the indictment, the defendants possessed detectable amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine on July 25, 2024, both classified as Schedule II controlled substances.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted the guilty pleas in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report was ordered for both men.
While Kaleel Montrel Smith was remanded into the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending sentencing, Christian Deion Larance Smith was allowed to remain out on bond until his sentencing.
