In a rapid and efficient response, the Chimpu Police have arrested Gollo Tara and Nabam Sakap for their involvement in a theft that occurred on February 18 in Gohpur Tinali, Chimpu.
The victim, a woman, reported that her handbag, containing cash, a gold chain, ATM cards, and a mobile phone, was stolen from her parked scooter. The Chimpu Police immediately launched an investigation and examined CCTV footage, which helped identify Gollo Tara as the main suspect.
Within 72 hours of the incident, the police arrested Gollo Tara and his accomplice, Nabam Sakap, and recovered the stolen motorcycle, handbag, and mobile phone.
Both suspects have confessed to their involvement in the crime and have been remanded to judicial custody at the district jail.
The operation was led by Chimpu Police Station OC Inspector N Nishant, with the support of ASI Manish Kumar, Head Constable Jerry Romin, and Constables TD Ete and Tasso Tasser, under the supervision of Itanagar SDPO Kengo Dirchi.
Itanagar SP Rohit Rajbir Singh commended the police team for their prompt action in solving the case within 72 hours and encouraged the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
