Chillicothe Woman Arrested for Vehicle Theft

A Chillicothe woman, identified as 32-year-old Melody Nichols, was arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle over the weekend. According to a probable cause statement, Chillicothe Police received a report on Saturday from a resident on Commercial Street who stated that Nichols had taken their vehicle. Nichols initially agreed to return the vehicle by Sunday morning, but neither the owner nor the police received it back as promised. Later that day, the vehicle was located by the Marshall Police Department, and Nichols was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle. She is currently held in the Saline County Jail, with no court date set.
