Chelsea O’Donnell Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges, Receives Probation

MARINETTE, Wis. (WLUK) — Chelsea O’Donnell, 27, has pleaded guilty to six charges, including three drug-related counts, and was sentenced to three years of probation. The charges stemmed from incidents in both Marinette and Oconto Counties.

O’Donnell, the daughter of comedian Rosie O’Donnell, pleaded guilty to maintaining a drug trafficking place, two counts of methamphetamine possession, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and bail jumping. Other charges were dismissed.

Judge James Morrison imposed a probation sentence, staying prison and jail sentences, which will only be activated if there are probation violations. In addition to probation, O’Donnell has been banned from entering bars or taverns, must comply with conditions set by the drug treatment court, and is prohibited from possessing opiate-based medications.

The charges stem from a Sept. 10 incident in Marinette County, when O’Donnell called police to report an argument. Officers found drug residue on a meth pipe and discovered meth and pills hidden in her bra. A subsequent search of her home yielded additional evidence.

O’Donnell also faces five charges in Oconto County related to an Oct. 11 traffic stop. She is scheduled for a plea hearing in that case on Feb. 5.
