Chavez Fox, 43, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, is facing multiple serious charges after his arrest for allegedly operating a drug trafficking operation out of his barbershop, Fox Cuts. The arrest followed a joint operation between the Southern Pines Police Department’s Investigation Division and the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
Search Warrants and Discovery of Drugs and Firearms
On December 6, 2024, authorities executed search warrants at two locations: Fox Cuts Barber Shop at 214 W. Morganton Road and a second location at 1650 W. Massachusetts Avenue in Southern Pines. The operation was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation involving both agencies.
During the search, law enforcement officials seized 80.1 grams of suspected cocaine, 991.5 grams (approximately 2.1 pounds) of marijuana, two dosage units of Oxycodone, and two firearms. The authorities also found drug paraphernalia linked to the operation.
Charges and Arrest
Fox is now facing several charges, including trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, and possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana. He is also charged with felony possession of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (Oxycodone), and multiple counts related to maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for the sale of controlled substances.
Additionally, Fox faces charges of being a felon in possession of firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia. After his arrest, Fox was placed in the Moore County Detention Center without bond, awaiting further proceedings.
The Southern Pines Police Department and Moore County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the case, with authorities emphasizing the importance of keeping illegal drug activity out of local communities.
