Charles and Hevon Martinez Charged in Fatal Shooting of Chrystal Snow

PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. — A father and his 17-year-old son, Charles Martinez and Hevon Martinez, have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of 39-year-old Chrystal Snow near Pagosa Springs earlier this year, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Both men face first-degree murder charges.

The incident occurred on July 2, when Snow was discovered at her residence on Archuleta County Road 700, west of Pagosa Springs, after a silent 911 call was made from the scene around 2:20 a.m. Investigators believe Snow attempted to contact emergency services shortly before she passed away.

CBI agents initially suspected the shooting was targeted and identified persons of interest in July. Now, Hevon, who was already in custody on unrelated charges, will be charged as an adult.
