Chaffee County Deputy Arrested on Misconduct and Harassment Charges

A former Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputy, Sean Hayes, was arrested in January 2025 and is now facing multiple charges, including official misconduct, official oppression, and harassment.

Hayes, who was arrested on January 21, 2025, has since resigned from his position with the CCSO in lieu of termination. The charges stem from allegations of improper conduct during his time as a deputy.
