Chadrick Dekeith Robinson Arrested for Murder of Elliott Wilds

Chadrick Dekeith Robinson, a man accused of shooting and killing 45-year-old Elliott Rudolph Wilds in Rowan County, was arrested at a motel in Statesville on Monday morning.

The shooting took place on Saturday afternoon on Hardy Lane in the Woodleaf area. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found Wilds with multiple gunshot wounds. However, the exact circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.

Approximately 36 hours after the incident, deputies located and arrested Robinson at a motel in Statesville. Robinson, who is facing murder charges, is currently being transported back to Rowan County.

The arrest was made by the Statesville Police Department’s Special Response Team.
