Cesar Ramirez Castro Charged in Deadly Texas DUI Crash

ARLINGTON, TX – Cesar Ramirez Castro, a 25-year-old illegal immigrant, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter and collision involving death following a fatal drunk-driving crash on Interstate 20 in Arlington, Texas.

Crash Details
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Ramirez Castro was driving a Ford F-150 when he swerved onto the shoulder of I-20, crashing into a parked vehicle.

The impact sent the vehicle into a concrete barrier, igniting a fire that left a 22-year-old man dead inside.

Authorities arrested Ramirez Castro at the scene and confirmed that he had an immigration hold.

Other Arrests
Two passengers in the truck, identified as Marcelino Ramirez-Ramirez (30) and Daniel Castro Zammarron (24), were also arrested and charged with public intoxication.

Immigration Background & Policy Concerns
This incident follows another high-profile crime involving an illegal immigrant in Georgia. Last week, David Hector Rivas-Sagastume, a Honduran national, was charged with capital murder for the killing of Camilia Williams, a 52-year-old mother and grandmother.

Rivas-Sagastume illegally entered the U.S. in 2021 and was scheduled for deportation in 2023, but removal never occurred.

Both cases have intensified the ongoing debate over U.S. immigration enforcement policies.
