Celina Police Arrest Richard Garcia-Meijas on Theft Charge

Celina, OH (February 2025) — Richard Garcia-Meijas, 50, was arrested today by Celina Police on a 1st-degree misdemeanor theft without consent charge. Garcia-Meijas is being held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Center on a $2,000 cash bond and is awaiting a hearing in Celina Municipal Court.

According to the Ohio Revised Code (ORC 2913.02), theft is defined as knowingly obtaining or exerting control over property or services valued between $1,000 and $7,500 without the consent of the owner or authorized person, or beyond the scope of the owner’s consent.

Garcia-Meijas’ case will be reviewed during his upcoming court hearing, where further legal proceedings will follow.
