Christopher Kiser, 38, of Carthage, was arrested on May 8 by Moore County Sheriff’s Department investigators on charges of felony identity theft and felony obtaining property by false pretense. The charges followed a report of fraud in the Southern Pines area on May 6. Kiser was placed in the Moore County Detention Center without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 20.
