Carmin Lemery Cited for Embezzlement from Eden Snowmobile Club

A 52-year-old Stowe woman has been cited for embezzlement following a lengthy investigation into unauthorized financial transactions involving the Gihon Track Packer Snowmobile Club in Eden, Vermont.

According to a press release from the Vermont State Police (VSP) Williston Barracks, authorities began investigating Carmin Lemery, who served as Treasurer for the snowmobile club, on August 27, 2024. The investigation was initiated after reports from Lemery’s coworkers, alleging that she had conducted unauthorized electronic transfers and misused club funds.

Lemery is accused of wiring money from the club’s bank account into her personal account on multiple occasions. Further investigation revealed that Lemery had also used the club’s debit card for personal purchases.

On March 5, 2025, after completing the investigation, VSP issued Lemery a citation. She is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court for arraignment on March 19, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., where she will face charges of embezzlement.
